RWC Japanese Upset

Okay so the Bokke lost to the the Japanese, making history by causing the biggest RWC upset in history. Shit happens...........

I remain a proud Bok Supporter. Something that stuck by me through the entire game was the following:

One:-
During the opening ceremony the opening song was a proudly South African song,
"The World In Union" original song by none other than South Africa's PJ Powers.

Two:-
During Prince Harry's speach he made mention of OUR very own Madiba (Nelson Mandela), OUR very own Francois Pienaar (Bok Captain at the 1995 World Cup - that we won - first time back in international rugby) and he made mention of OUR very own Joel Stransky drop goal that won us that game.

All this made me very proud to be a South African supporter. Bokke you have my support through thick and thin. If you bring the cup home FABULOUS if not we will always be proud of you!

GO BOKKE!

2015 Rugby World Cup Fever

2015 Rugby World Cup Fever has hit the globe and here at DHL the fever is running high. I can proudly state that I am an employee of the worldwide logistics partner for this spectacular event.

Over a year and a half of preparations and DHL has so far delivered more than 400,000 tickets and an average of four tons of gear per team has been shipped to the 13 tournament venues throughout the UK.

Yes DHL is the official logistics partner of the Rugby World Cup 2015 and is working hard behind the scenes to deliver tournament and team equipment from around the world. Here are some interesting stats:

- 13 playing venues
- 11 host cities
- 89 team base locations
- 48 matches
- 48,200 kg team freight
- 192 team relocations throughout RWC2015
- 26 x 18 tonne vehicles = 91,050 road km's
- 20 scrum machines to be transported

Proudly impressed to part of this!
