Out & About - Road Trippin - Hartbeespoort

Spending an entire December holiday at home does not sound like much fun or very exciting. So doing a couple of day road trips are definitely part of the plan.

Visited the area around Hartbeespoort Dam. 

First stop : - Maggies Farm, Home of the Chicken Pie. Breakfast.

Second stop : - Lesedi Cultural Village. 

Like some women are to shoes, so Kaylin is to Ketty's. 

Final stop : - Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary. Lovely close-up, interactive experience with the monkeys.

And they are far more intelligent than we give them credit for.

Perhaps this sign should be for the monkeys and read "Don't touch the humans". 

December at home

So we not going away for the the December holiday's, but hey who says you cannot have a holiday in your own home/garden.

With the type of temperatures we have been experiencing here in Gauteng over the feastive season, the best way to spend the days are with a long cold cocktail around the pool. . . .  good times!

Op die plaas aan die ower van die die Olifantsrieiver.

'n Draad ring, 'n John Deere Hoed en 'n Hilux bakkie. . . . .haar "wishlist".

'n Heerlike koppie boeretroos in die bosveld

Jy moet tyd maak om die wind in die gras te hoor, 

Om in die reen te dans, 

Om kaalpoot in die grondpad te loop. . . .

Trip - Ending the year off on a high note

So Kaylin ended the school year off on a high note . . . . .

Drakensberg Desert Walk with the school. Five days of rough terrain, steep climbs but breathtaking views.  Making memories that will last her a lifetime.
